The Duck

Grandma Fran came to visit this week and I was soooo happy to see her! Grandma's are the best! We hung out with Betsy the first day she was in town and then grandma & her friend Marie took me to the Children's Museum one day too. Mom even took a day off of work to hang out with us too! I really love spending time with her and was so glad she came to visit! Just before she left she brought me one of my favorite things.... a duck! But not just any duck, this is a giant life-size, as big as me rubber ducky!

I love it so much. I usually get mad when Mom makes me leave it in the bath tub so I am constantly taking it out and brining it into the family room. The other day panic ensued when we almost forgot my duck when getting ready for a bath. I had to run out to find it... luckily it wasn't too far away...

Hair Styles

You probably can't tell from most of the pictures or videos on this blog, but I kind of have a side mullet thing going on with my hair. I have very short hair on the back of my head (but it is growing!) and then very long curly hair on the sides and weird long sort of more straight than curly hair on the very top of my head (like the kind of hair donald trump has to make his comb-over work). On top of that I have a ton of colic's so that also adds to the craziness. We've attempted a few new hair styles over the past couple of days and I thought you might like to see them!

First up, the ponytail....

Again, thanks to the colic's it's not working too well, oh and all the weird short tuffs of hair.


Next, The pig tail...

Not bad, they end up being a little lop-sided since one side has 4x as much hair as the other side.


When all else fails, I just go with the bunny on my head look...

That might be my favorite!

Animal Noises & Actions

I can be a little camera shy so it's hard for Mom & Dad to get all my "tricks" on camera, but here's a video of a few good ones.

That last one, the buffalo, I messed up a little. I'm suppose to make a #1 sign with both hands and then stick that on my head like horns, I only got the one right this time but I think you get the idea...

Not video taped is the cow, pig, crab, dog, turtle, snake, lion, alligator, narwhal, and flamingo. I'll try to get those out to you real soon!

These Boots Weren't Made For Walking

So my mom has been trying to find me snow boots to wear outside - and for our trip to Colorado. The problem is they don't make actual boots, like water proof keep me warm in ankle deep snow kind of boots - or most practical shoes for that matter - in any sizes smaller than a 5. That's not very nice of those shoe/boot/sandal making people out there considering I am a fully-functioning walker who's in a size 3.5. I thought people liked small feet!

Anyway, Mom finally found some in a size 4 on Amazon so she ordered them up - and they were purple too! I got really excited when she showed me the picture... until they arrived and I had to put them on:

They may look cute from afar, but let me tell you these suckers weigh about 5lbs - each! That's about 1/2 my body weight in boots. I'm a tough girl, but even I have my limits. How am I suppose to walk around in these things on dry flat surfaces let alone the bumpy snow covered ground of Colorado? Who thought that a 5lb boot in a size 4 was a good idea? Here's a video of me trying to even lift my foot up while wearing them. I had to strip down to just the boots to shed all excess weight...

Guess it's back to the internet to continue the search! Come on boots! I know you are out there!

Bye-bye Louie!

Today is a sad day, my friend Louie is moving away! He and his mom & dad are moving to North Carolina, that's somewhere far away. Mom says we can go visit though, so I guess it won't be too bad! Good-bye for now Louie! I'll mis you!!!

Snow, Snow, Snow!

It snowed a lot here this weekend! I think we got 6 inches one afternoon alone. It was crazy! Betsy took me outside to play in it (although we couldn't play very long since I don't have snow boots yet). I was a little unsure of what to do in all that snow, but walking around in it was fun. The next day Mom took me out again, and this time we walked over to the dog park and I got to see all the dogs through the fence. I really really really want a dog, but daddy says not until we live in a bigger house. Maybe one day. Daddy also took me out on Sunday, we ran to the grocery store to pick up a few things for dinner and had a nice little walk. I'm practically a snow bunny now!

Cincy Videos

Grandpa had a Dave Matthew's Band concert taped and so we put it in and rocked out for a sold 30 minutes. Those guys can jam! Have you seen the violinist? How is that possible. And I love the drummer. I think I may need to take up the drums soon...

Pump It Up

This week Mom and I met my friend Molly & her mom at a new place called Pump it Up. It's a giant room filled with inflatable play land activities. There's a bouncy house, there's inflatable slides, an obstacle course, a rock climbing wall, and tons more. Molly and I were some of the youngest kids there (we're only a week apart!), so it was a little intimidating, but we still had fun. We played in the bouncy house, and rode down the slide with our moms and drove these sweet cars around. You can see us high-fiving - we looked really good in those cars, and we knew it!

My New Playhouse...

Since our apartment isn't really big enough for a real play house, like with a roof, grandma & grandpa sent me this cool play house that's just one wall. It's got tons of fun activities on it, and I'm pretty sure its way better than an actual house would be! This one has a doorbell, a light switch, a mail box, a window I can open and close, a clock I can move, and a radio I can play music on! I love playing in it! My New Hat

Our neighbors gave me this cool new ski hat for Christmas. I normally hate things on my head, but this hat was so cool I allowed it to stay. Here's some shot of me in it (since we're not doing the monthly photo shoots anymore I had to get my modeling practice in when I can)...

Back at Home...

While I really enjoyed all the time we spent in Ohio, I was very excited to get back home this week. I found all my toys that I had forgotten about and big comfy chair and my own crib. On Saturday we ran errands to all my favorite places, whole foods, target, and staples (I already think office supplies are so fun) and then I promptly passed out on the way home, hand still in my cheerio's cup.

Later that afternoon it was gorgeous outside so we met up with my friend Joey in the park! We went on the swings, climbed up the slide, ran after a dog, and played in this cool airplane! Joey and I took turns driving, because that's what friends do, they share!

Baby Jeffery!

It's the baby! Before we headed back to Chicago Mom and Dad went to dinner over at Baby Jeffery's house. His parents, Shelly and Jeff, have a dog and a baby! Isn't that cool. Baby Jeffery can't even sit up yet, but he's making lots of noises and even smiled at me once, which is pretty cool. Everyone thought it was so funny when they would ask me "Where's the baby" and I would point to baby Jeffery. I don't know what the big deal was, if they asked me to point to the dog, I would have pointed to Miley too!  Miley gave me lots of kisses and let me play with her cage and all her dog toys (they looked just like kid toys to me though!). Mom says by the time we come back to Cincinnati Jeffery will be able to play with me more, so I'm really looking forward to that! Thanks for having us over!

New Year's Eve!

For New Year's Eve we packed up the car and headed north to Columbus to stay with Jack and his parents Angie & Matt for the weekend. But there was a surprise! Joey and his parents (Katie & Chris) drove in from Chicago and Natalie and her parents (Kristin & Zak) drove up from Cincinnati too! We had a big party weekend with the 4 of us! We played all over the house, went out for yummy brunch, took baths, and got all dressed up for new years! 

Natalie couldn't stay for the actual party on Saturday, but she got into the spirit early by putting on her hat and shades before she left. Joey & Jack got all dressed up in their matching tuxedo onesies and I had on my pearls and a purple tutu to celebrate. Mom had also gotten us all these fun mini party hats, but there was no way Joey or I were going to have those on our heads - not cool. We're old now, we know better, but poor Jack didn't have a clue. It's okay, we took it off him as soon as the picture taking was over.

We had so much fun! Thanks for making our New Year's great Angie & Matt! We miss you all already!!
